Garrys mod review mod#
Grand Theft Auto IV! Sweet! Oh shit this is gonna take such a long time, isn’t it? And wasn’t the PC port of this game supposed to be awful? Eh, I can always mod it I guess. Garry’s Mod (GMod) is the ultimate physics sandbox game that lets you create anything and everything that you can think of with the available tools.
Garrys mod review generator#
Speaking of, it’s time to consult my trusty Random Number Generator to see what game I’ll play next! Random Number Generator says… 82! And let’s see, that means I’m playing… I don’t know nearly enough about this sort of thing to be able to offer any real commentary on whether or not Garry’s Mod is any good, so I’m thinking I should really just leave the creating to the creators while I move on to stuff that I do know a thing or two about.
Among the other things it does, it’s a medium to create things it would make about as much sense for me to review a pen and a piece of paper as it would for me to actually review Garry’s Mod. Oh, what do I rate Garry’s Mod itself? Eh, I think it’s best that I don’t rate it at all. Yeah, it’s silly dumb pointless violence, but who cares? It’s Billy Mays and Vince Offer kicking the shit out of each other with their products, what’s not to like? RIP Billy Mays. There are only 2 maps in the game for you to mess around in, but they are large and have various things like flat surfaces, hills, and water. The ending, with the “Are you shitting me?” was perfect, and all the jokes worked really well. Garrys Mod has a ton of items, mostly from Half Life 2. The comedic timing, the editing, the writing, the choreography, everything about this video was gold. I have no idea how many hours went into making that video, but it clearly wasn’t something that got done in a day. Overall: 10/10 Holy crap wasn’t that hilarious? Somebody actually made that using the game I just tried to play. I’ve tried numerous times with numerous games, but I just can’t enjoy sandbox games.īut, since I don’t want to take the easy way out, I’m going to review this video that someone made with Gmod instead: Games like this just aren’t for me, and it’s pretty much impossible for me to give them a fair shake. I do enough aimless objectiveless wandering in real life, I don’t need to feel like I have no clue what I’m supposed to be doing with myself when I’m playing games as well. Since there is no clear objective, I lose interest extremely fast. That’s the problem with me and sandbox games. What kind of things? Well, I honestly have no idea.
And, well, now that I’ve spent some time with it, I still don’t know what to think.įrom what I can tell, Garry’s Mod is a sandbox game where you play in various Half Life and Team Fortress maps, and probably several others as well, and you can spawn objects and NPCs as you see fit and move and rotate them around to do… things. When I found out that I was doing Garry’s Mod for my first Random Steam Game Project entry, I honestly didn’t really know what to think.
